Our future System Architect will be leveraging their expertise in medical system development, especially electronics and system engineering, for building next-generation non-invasive diagnostic ultrasound-based systems. The successful candidate will develop state-of-the-art systems and act as project manager in cross-functional development projects.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties
System Architecture: Elaborate and document system architectures (hardware, electronics, firmware components, integration with software) for next-generation ultrasound-based devices.
System Development: Lead and contribute to the development of our medical devices, especially from a hardware and electronics perspective, and ensure compliance with the applicable standards and regulations.
System V&V: Lead and contribute to the verification and validation activities for our medical devices, ensuring compliance with the applicable standards and regulations.
Supplier Interaction: Integrate specialized external partners in our development projects for efficient execution and delivery.
Project Management: Act as project manager for strategic development projects, leading the projects to timely delivery and maintaining team coherence.
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with the different stakeholders to contribute to company culture and growth.
Minimum Requirements
Degree in electrical engineering, microtechnology or equivalent (MSc, PhD)
At least 5 years of experience in medical electronics design and development and a proven track-record of delivering devices cleared by FDA
At least 3 years of experience as medical system architect
Deep knowledge of and experience with ultrasound electronics, FPGAs, low-power electronics, PCBA development and miniaturization
Proven experience of delivering projects start-to-finish with a fast, iterative approach
Proven experience of working in multi-faceted teams
Proven experience of team management
Fast-learning
Impeccable English
German and French working proficiency are a plus.
On-site (in Muri bei Bern) with possibility of remote work
Willingness to travel (20% - organized in longer periods)
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering and system engineering
Excellent understanding of medical device development processes (including compliance with norms, regulations and quality management)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with internationally located team members in the organization
Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for the company’s vision and work
Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
